Introduction to Health Care Support

In Kenya, about 100,000 people seek outpatient mental health services annually, with Nairobi accounting for the highest share. An estimated 25% of outpatient and 40% of inpatient clients in Kenyan health facilities experience mental health issues, yet many go undiagnosed due to low detection rates among healthcare providers. Integrating mental health care—especially for patients with chronic illnesses—has been shown to improve recovery outcomes. Our program responds to this need by offering comprehensive mental health and psychosocial support services within hospitals.
